PROJECT VISION
Kaizen Tutor | UX/UI Case Study
Kaizen Tutor booking app is a platform where you can search, select and schedule classes from tutors regarding your desired subjects. The prime user of this app is the parents who want offline/online tutor for their child who can help and guide their child in studies due to their time constraint also this creates wide opportunity for the people who wants to teach and earn
Project Goal
Design an app that will help the user easily find and schedule subject classes for their child or themselves online or offline so that app will act as bridge between knowledge seeker and knowledge provider.
Challenge
User who wants to learn something or need help in particular subjects most of the time is unable to find right teacher according to their expectations, time and mode due to limited resources and contacts.
USER RESEARCH
PAIN POINTS
I conducted interviews and created empathy maps to understand the users I’m
designing for and their needs. A primary user group identified through research
was working parents who are searching for subject tutor who can help their child in their studies.
Initial assumption was their will be resistance from parents' to go and find tutor online because of trust issue the feedback received through research made it very clear that users would be open and willing to book tutor online but the app platform available right now market is to complex for older user to understand and use.
Interview questions:
Tell us about yourself!
How often do you search for tutor online?
Have you ever taken a class through an online tutoring platform?
What frustrated you the most about the tutor booking process?
What were some aspects that made you quit during a tutor browsing?
How do you think the tutor booking process can be made easier?

MEET THE USERS
Following the user research, I developed a persona that helps me understand what design solutions to deliver to meet the user's needs and solve their problems.
SKETCHING & WIREFRAMING
Starting off by creating paper wireframe helped quickly create the outlines needed to iterate user flow and make necessary changes needed to adhere to both user and business goals.
SITEMAP
With the app designs completed, I started work on designing the responsive website. I used the Kaizen tutor sitemap to guide the organizational structure of each screen’s design to ensure a cohesive and consistent experience across devices.
DEFINE
At this stage, it's important to define the project scope and problem in order to help establish constraints and deliverables.
LOW-FIDELITY WIREFRAMES
View Kaizen tutor Low-Fidelity Prototypes
After sketching out wireframes, I focused on elements that helped provide clear/urgent information to those within the area. In addition, allowing those to see events based off their attendance response.
Moving onto creating the low-fidelity prototype, I created a flow that allows users to explore the app and test out key features to help communicate with one another.
